The Gulf Islands in Georgia Strait are one of life’s greatest experiences. With abundant marine life and charming places to stay or camp. North at Johnstone Strait Orca whales are seen much of the year.

Queen Charlottes Attractions: East Beach (70 km long), Hotsprings Island, Gwaii Haanas National Park. As close to Nature as you'll ever get.

Broken Islands: (Vancouver Island, from Ucluelet or Bamfield) Eight islands with primitive camping. Part of "The Graveyard of the Pacific" so caution is advised in adverse weather. North are Kyoquot and Clayoqout Sounds.

Sunshine Coast: Incredible scenery, exotic Islands, eagles everywhere. Kayak: Sechelt Inlet; or go to the Thormaby Islands from Halfmoon Bay. Stay in Gibsons for Howe Sound waters. At Egmont, kayak to Jervis Inlet, Princess Louise Inlet, or shoot the Shookumchuck narrows.

Desolation Sound: from Lund or Powell River visit Savory and Cortes Islands, then head north and forget about civilization for the rest of your visit. What did civilization ever do for you anyway?

Bella Coola: With fjords, bays and inlets this is ideal for kayaking. Or go to Hakai Islands Marine Park, the most spectacular of them all.
